Hkg99's story began in 2018, born from a simple but deeply meaningful idea: that online casino players in Malaysia deserve a platform truly built for them — not a generic product translated from another language, not a foreign platform minimally adapted for the local market, but something created from the ground up with a real understanding of who Malaysians are, what they want, and how they like to play.
In its early days, hkg99 started with a smaller game library but an exceptionally clear focus: delivering an honest and transparent experience. That meant displaying accurate RTP values for every game, explaining bonus terms in plain, straightforward language without confusing fine print, and processing withdrawals promptly without manufactured excuses. This approach — which might seem like the bare minimum any platform should offer — turned out to be a genuine differentiator in an industry rife with questionable practices.
Through word of mouth, Malaysian players began to trust hkg99. The community grew organically — not through aggressive advertising campaigns, but because satisfied players recommended the platform to their friends. Every time hkg99 paid out winnings promptly, every time the support team resolved an issue efficiently, every time a player found that the platform had genuinely treated them fairly — that trust deepened and the community grew stronger.
In 2020, hkg99 expanded the platform by launching a live casino section featuring Malay-speaking dealers — a decision that proved to be exactly right, receiving an overwhelming response from Malaysian players. The idea that you could play baccarat or blackjack with a dealer who speaks your native language, from the comfort of your own home, truly resonated with local players. hkg99's live tables quickly became among the busiest on the platform, confirming that understanding local user needs is the key to success in the Malaysian market.
In 2022, hkg99 launched a comprehensive Sports Betting section covering EPL and Liga Super Malaysia football, badminton, e-sports, and IPL cricket — all the sports Malaysians follow most closely. This completed hkg99's digital entertainment ecosystem and made it a true one-stop platform for all online entertainment needs. No more registering across multiple platforms for different games — everything is available on hkg99 under one account and one wallet.
Today, hkg99 serves more than 500,000 registered members across Malaysia — from Perlis to Sabah and Sarawak. Yet even as the scale has grown far beyond those early days, the core principles that hkg99 was built on remain unchanged: player safety is the top priority, honesty and transparency are non-negotiable values, and every player deserves to be treated with respect and fairness regardless of how large or small their bets are.
